Our first religion lesson “face to face!”. If you ask us: “how was it?”, we will answer without hesitation: it was extraordinarily beautiful!! David (Mihaela Nicoleta Podaru) asked us at the end of the lesson: ”can’t we do all the lessons at church?” We think David’s question best sums up the atmosphere in religion class! All the children worked excellently in their groups, read and wrote in Romanian, learned about St. Filofteia and couldn’t wait to get home to do their homework, as Miruna (Mariana Luca) confessed to us at the end of the lesson. Lisa Hapca’s (Maria Hapca) picture in front of the church also best expresses the joy of all the children who received the school logo T-shirts today! What more can we ask for?
On Friday, September 22nd, we will have the next religion lesson, this time online to meet with students from “Fanus Neagu” School in Braila. They, guided by their teacher, Gabriela Ion, have prepared some very nice games and activities for us and can’t wait to share them with us! Also, the children enrolled in the workshop “Skillful hands” are expected by Georgiana Velica and Raluca Georgiana Berhiu at a new session of creation and good cheer on Sunday, after the Holy Liturgy!
We thank the “Meeting of our Lord” Parish – Glasgow, for all the support, we thank all our volunteers who make possible all these activities of our school and, last but not least, we thank the children who created such a beautiful atmosphere today!
We remind you that all program activities from: “Hi! Come and get to know Romania together!” are realized with the support of the Department for Romanians Abroad, whom we are most grateful to!
