Religion course: “Saints, friends of children” (the 1st of October 2023)
Such a beautiful Sunday! So many joys today; what shall we tell you first? Perhaps we should begin with Matins, where children present at church give their alms to Fr. George Bliortu, or that at the time of the Creed, they are present in front and all say it together, or that they have learned to sing to the Mother of God! Or maybe how they participated in the lesson with great interest, that they wrote and read in the Romanian language, and after the lesson David (Mihaela Nicoleta Podaru) did not want to leave until he gave a helping hand in cleaning! All these things are very important for all of us and we are glad that all children are so receptive and open to knowing more about their country, traditions and culture of the Romanian people!
Of course, in the end, there were the sweets that our volunteer, Elena, shared with great love!
All these beautiful things can happen in St. Nicholas Romanian School – Glasgow, thanks to the kind volunteers who are with us at all activities!
Next week we will meet online with students from the “Fanus Neagu” School – Braila, for a new religion lesson, and Raluca Georgiana Berhiu and Georgiana Velica will be waiting for you at a new creative session and good cheer on Sunday, after the Holy Liturgy!
All program activities: “Hi! Come and get to know Romania together!” are carried out with the support of the Department for Romanians Abroad and in collaboration with the”Meeting of our Lord” Parish – Glasgow and the “Fanus Neagu” School Braila.
